  • Emma: Emily, I’m so happy to see you again! (Emily, aku sangat bahagia sekali bisa ketemu kamu lagi!)
  • Emily: Me, too Emma. Long time no see! (Aku juga Emma. Sudah lama ndak ketemu!)
  • Emma: Let’s go get some food first. My car isn’t far from here. (Ayo kita cari makan dulu. Mobilku tidak jauh dari sini.)
  • Emily: Wait, Emma. I don’t have any US dollars. I’d like to change some money. I need to buy some things here. Do you know where the nearest money changer is? (Tunggu, Emma. Aku ndak punya uang US dollar. Aku mau beli beberapa barang di sini. Apa kamu tahu dimana tempat penukar uang terdekat?)
  • Emma: Actually, there are some places in this airport. But I wouldn’t recommend them. The exchange rate is high and so are the fees. It’s better to go to banks. Come on, I’ll take you to a bank. (Sebenarnya ada beberapa tempat di dalam airport ini. Tapi aku ndak merekomendasikannya. Kursnya tinggi dan ada biayanya juga. Lebih baik ke bank. Ayo, aku antar kamu ke bank.)

Fifteen minutes later, Emily and Emma are already in the bank.

  • Bank clerk: Good afternoon, can I help you? (Selamat siang, ada yang bisa saya bantu?)
  • Emily: Yes, I’d like to change some currency from Euros to US dollars. (Iya, saya ingin menukar uang dari Euro ke US dollar.)
  • Bank clerk: Sure. How much would you like? (Tenu. Berapa banyak yang Anda inginkan?)
  • Emily: How much is one Euro worth? (Berapa nilai satu Euro-nya?)
  • Bank clerk: Today’s exchange rate is one dollar to 0.9 Euros. (Kurs tukar hari ini adalah satu dolar sama dengan 0.9 Euro.)
  • Emily: Alright, I’d like 350 US dollars then. (Baik, saya mau 350 US dollar kalau begitu.)
  • Bank clerk: Okay, that will be 315 Euros. Would you like that in small or large bills? (Oke, jadinya 315 Euro. Anda mau dalam pecahan kecil atau besar?)
  • Emily: Please give me a mix of both. I’d like some change, too. (Tolong beri saya campuran keduanya. Saya mau beberapa recehan juga.)
  • Bank clerk: No problem. Please sign here first. That’ll be $200 in $20’s, $100 in $10’s, and $45 in $5’s and $1’s. And, here’s $5 in change. (Tidak masalah. Tolong tanda tangan di sini dulu. Jadi semuanya $200 dalam pecahan $20an, $100 dalam $10an, dan $45 dalam $5an and $1an.Dan, yang $5 dalam recehan.
  • Emily: Great! Thank you. (Sip! Terimakasih.)
  • Bank clerk: Is there anything else I can help you with? (Apakah ada hal lain yang bisa saya bantu?)
  • Emily: That’s all, Ma’am. Thanks a lot for the help. (Itu saja, Bu. Terimakasih banyak atas bantuannya.)
  • Bank clerk: You’re welcome. Have a great day. (Terimakasih kembali. Semoga hari Anda menyenangkan.)
