  • Luna: Hi, Sachi. Do you know what time Mr. Ali will be in the office? (Hai, Sachi. Apakah kamu tahu jam berapa Pak Ali ada di kantor?)
  • Sachi: Mr. Ali? He usually comes at 10.00 o’clock on Monday, but I don’t know about his schedule today. Did you make an appointment before? (Pak Ali? Beliau biasanya datang jam 10.00 di hari Senin, tapi aku tidak tahu jadwalnya hari ini. Apakah kamu membuat janji sebelumnya?)
  • Luna: I texted him 3 days ago but he didn’t reply yet. I’m afraid I don’t have enough time to revise my work. (Aku kirim sms ke beliau 3 hari yang lalu tapi beliau belum membalas. Aku khawatir tidak punya cukup waktu untuk memperbaiki tugasku.)

  • Tara: Excuse me, could you please tell me what time is it now? (Permisi, bisakah beri tahu saya jam berapa sekarang?)
  • Dela: Oh, it’s 11.00 0’clock now. (Oh, sekarang jam 11.00.)
  • Tara: Thanks. By the way, do you know the name of the train to Jogja and what time it will leave? (Terima kasih. Ngomong-ngomong, apakah kamu tahu nama kereta menuju Jogja dan jam berapa kereta itu akan berangkat?)
  • DelaIt’s Sancaka. It will leave at 07.30 A.M. and 05.00 P.M. (Namanya Sancaka. Keretanya berangkat pada pukul 07.30 dan 17.00.)
  • Tara: Oh it’s still too long to wait for.  (Oh ternyata masih lama ya.)

  • Shinta: It’s a good idea. I like summer. Don’t you think so? (Ide yang bagus. Aku suka musim panas. Tidakkah kamu demikian?)
  • Laura: No, I don’t like summer. How come you like summer? It’s hot. It can burn your skin. (Tidak, aku tidak suka musim panas. Bagaimana bisa kamu suka musim panas? Sangat panas. Itu bisa membakar kulitmu.)
  • Shinta: But, we can sunbath, make a sand castle, drink coconut water, and surf. It’s interesting, isn’t it? (Tapi kita bisa berjemur, membuat istana pasir, minum air kelapa, dan berselancar. Sangat menarik kan?)

  • Nessa: Yeah, I really miss you. (Yeah, aku kangen banget.)
  • Nadine: Me, too. (Aku juga.)
  • Nessa: What’re you doing here? (Sedang ngapain kamu di sini?)
  • Nadine: Just window shopping, haha. And you? (Cuma lihat-lihat, haha. Dan kamu?)
